Maya Dalla Valle: Shaping A New Legacy of Napa Wines & Cabernet Franc

“Dalla Valle is my home. It is also my family’s legacy.”

When Maya Dalla Valle spoke those words, it was clear her story went far deeper than winemaking. As the second-generation leader of Dalla Valle Vineyards, Maya has combined world-class training — with degrees from Cornell and Bordeaux Science Agro and hands-on experience at Pétrus and Château Latour — with a lifetime steeped in Napa Valley’s culture of excellence.

Since returning to Dalla Valle in 2017, she has faced challenges like the 2020 vintage, adapted to the realities of climate change, and championed Cabernet Franc’s enduring role in their blends. Along the way, she’s earned recognition as one of Wine Enthusiast’s Top 40 Under 40 Tastemakers and Wine Spectator’s Winemaker to Watch.

In this episode of The Wine Centric Show, Maya talks candidly about leading alongside her mother, balancing family and winemaking, and carrying Napa’s legacy forward for decades to come.
